BIG BROTHER is the Australian rendition of the famous Big Brother reality TV Franchise. It started from 2001 and kept running for eight seasons on Network Ten preceding the network took it off in July 2008 subsequent to encountering controversy and audience erosion. The show returned on 13 August 2012 with a ninth season on the Nine Network. Each of the eleven seasons was made by Endemol Southern Star.
From its first season until its seventh season in 2007 the show was actually hosted by Gretel Killeen. With a patch up of the series in 2008, she was replaced by radio pair Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O. From 2012 to 2014 it was done by Sonia Kruger. Mike Goldman has narrated every one of the eleven seasons.

Big Brother Australia Show Format:
The show is based on the universal Big Brother series by Endemol. Will There Be Big Brother Australia 2019?
The last season Big Brother was hosted in Australia was way back in 2014. After that there has been lots of rumors Big Brother might return again on Australian TV with new season.
On August 8, 2015, Nine confirmed that the Big Brother house had been dismantled, and that they had formally ‘rested’ the format. This does not mean that the show may not return in future years, though, as Nine have rights until 2016. Then a few days later, Dreamworld had confirmed that the house had not been dismantled. Further, it was reported that Nine was “in talks” with Endemol Shine for Big Brother to air in late 2016.
A poll for the new season of Big Brother was added on the official website asking visitors.“Would you like to see Big Brother return to Channel 9?”.
After this no news or reports whether Big Brother returns once again or not. We just hope for the best and Big Brother Australia return in 2019.
